THURMAN – A Thurman man who pleaded guilty in March to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine, was arrested last night at his Buckeye Hills Road residence and now faces an illegal manufacture of drugs charge and a probation violation charge.
Jesse Bender, 42, was arrested after deputies with the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office conducted a probation search of his residence. An active meth lab and precursor items to manufacture of methamphetamine were allegedly found at the residence. A female was also taken into custody, but later released.
The GCSO was assisted by the Gallipolis Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Rio Grande Volunteer Fire Department and Gallia County EMS.
